THE RHYTHM OF HERE
A NEW DINING EXPERIENCE
Named for the waters that shape this island and the journeys that shape us, Passage is a restaurant built on the idea that the most generous offering is the feeling of having truly arrived.
Perched above the Saratoga Passage on Whidbey Island, within the Inn at Langley, Passage is an invitation to be fully present: on this island, in this season, at this table, in this moment.
Shaped by place, season, and led by award-winning Executive Chef Johnny Spero, the kitchen works close to the source, treating what this land and water provide with reverence and care.
A place for guests, travelers, and islanders alike, Passage offers a multi-course tasting menu at dinner, with à la carte beverage offerings and curated pairing options.
A complimentary breakfast is served daily to guests of the Inn.
FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE, TO EXACTLY HERE
Executive Chef Johnny Spero has spent his career in motion, moving through some of the world's most formative kitchens in pursuit of a cooking philosophy that is entirely his own.
Born in Maryland, Spero came up through the kitchens of James Beard Award–winner Johnny Monis and José Andrés' celebrated Minibar in Washington D.C., where he earned the Eater "Chef of the Year" and led the kitchen to a four-star review from the Washington Post. He staged at Mugaritz in Spain, a perennial contender for the World's 50 Best Restaurants, before opening Reverie in Georgetown in 2018. Intimate, seafood-forward, and guided by years of global learning, Reverie earned a Michelin star in 2022.
At Passage, Spero brings that same depth of craft to the Pacific Northwest: working in close relationship with the farmers, fishers, and foragers of this region, and informed by a curiosity that has never stopped traveling. The cooking is marked by reverence, restraint, and nuanced simplicity.
